Aetrex Footwear Granted the Use of APMA’s Seal of Acceptance
Fashion-Forward Footwear Recognized as Promoting Excellence in Foot Health
Teaneck, NJ – April 16, 2013 – Aetrex Worldwide, Inc., a global leader in comfort and wellness footwear, is proud to announce the use of American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA)’s Seal of Acceptance has been granted to their Essence Heeled Sandals and Pumps, Berries Footwear and Sandalistas Cork Comfort collections.
The Seal Program recognizes worthy products that contribute to better foot health and ensures the public can make the best possible decisions when purchasing products. The APMA Seal of Acceptance helps Aetrex continue creating accessible options for people in need of healthy footwear without sacrificing fashion and style.
“The APMA Seal of Acceptance is a notable accomplishment for us,” said Aetrex CEO Larry Schwartz. “Our core mission has always been to create the healthiest shoes on the market today, so the Seal helps us show the public that we’re achieving that goal with fashionable yet comfortable footwear.”
All three collections feature Aetrex’s “Healthy 3”, which result in extraordinary lines of women’s footwear offering exceptional comfort. Each pair contains Lynco® orthotic footbeds for support, balance and alignment; memory foam cushioning for customization and comfort; and Aegis® anti-microbial technology to help protect against fungi, bacteria and odor.
Aetrex’s heeled sandals, pumps, Berries footwear and Sandalistas went through a detailed selection process by the Committee on Podiatric Seals, comprised of doctors of podiatric medicine, who then extended their recommendations to the APMA Board of Trustees for final action. Each submission was supplemented with research documentation, patents, composition and evidence of quality control procedures along with all packaging and promotional materials used for each product.
As stated in the program’s guidelines, “APMA has accepted the responsibility of informing Americans of the importance of recognizing and maintaining comfortable foot health. A major goal of the APMA is to raise awareness by identifying products of exceptional quality that are manufactured with the consumer’s comfort and safety in mind.”
These APMA approved collections are available online at www.aetrex.com and at retail partners nationwide.
