- Symptom: Length Measure (LM) measuring 27.94
Issue: Purple and gray wire (length) disconnected
Solution: Take apart FIT and connect purple and gray wire back
- Symptom: Right Width (RW) measuring 32 cm
Issue: Width wires broken
Solution: Return FIT to get fixed (can’t be fixed by Reps)
- Symptom: FIT making loud grinding noise #1
Issue: Wires stuck on the post
Solution: Take apart FIT and make sure wires are not stuck.
- Symptom: FIT making loud grinding noise #2
Issue: FIT sensor stuck on HOME clip
Solution: A. park FIT and see if the noise stops
Or
B. Take apart FIT and manually lift the sensor away from HOME clip
- Symptom: FIT making loud grinding noise #3 (sensors going HOME the wrong way)
Issue BAD FIT chip
Solution: Return FIT to get chip replaced (can’t be fixed by Reps)
- Symptom: FIT program displaying “communication error” during pressure test (#1)
Issue: Serial cable to iStep and/or power cable to iStep not connected
Solution: Turn FIT upside down and make sure that the serial connector and the power connector is plugged
- Symptom: FIT program displaying “communication error” during pressure test (#2)
Issue: Bad FIT mother board
Solution: Return FIT to get mother board replaced (can’t be fixed by Reps)
- Symptom: FIT program displaying different sizes all the time
Issue: Bad FIT chip
Solution: Return FIT to get chip replaced (can’t be fixed by Reps)
- Symptom: FIT program displaying 27.94 cm for LM
Issue: Length sensor cable connection to FIT mother board not connected
Solution: Take apart FIT and connect the length cables back to the mother board
- Symptom: FIT program displaying LM=0, LW=0.10, RW=32.98
Issue: Width sensor cable connection to FIT mother board not connected
Solution: Take apart FIT and connect the width sensor cables back to the mother board.
- Symptom: FIT program displaying LM=0, LW=0.10, RW=32.98
Issue: Length and width sensor cable connection to FIT mother board not connected.
Solution: Take apart FIT and connect the length and width sensor cables back to the mother board.
