Plastazote®
Plastazote is a closed cell, cross linked, polyethylene foam designed to be heat formed at 275° F to a positive model or directly to a patient’s foot. Its comfortable feel, purity, light-weight and conformability make it the standard material for diabetic and arthritic foot management. The constant dynamic molding of an orthotic with Plastazote will redistribute pressure away from a sore spot or bony prominence. Plastazote is available in four densities: Medium, Firm, X-Firm and Rigid.
Plastazote Combination Sheets
Plastazote Double and Triple Combination Sheets are available with Plastazote pre-laminated to other state-of-the-art orthotic materials such as PPT and ThermoSKY. In addition, there are combination sheets comprised of 2 densities of Plastazote - Medium/Firm and Medium/X-Firm. These heat moldable combinations save valuable fabrication time and provide excellent shock absorption and cushioning for your patients.
Evazote
Evazote is a closed cell, ethylene copolymer (EVA) foam designed to recover rapidly and cushion sensitive areas. Evazote is recommended for combining comfort and resilience. It heat forms easily at 275° F.

Medium: |
Orthotic top cover for patients with diabetes or arthritis. Also used for nonweight bearing linings and pads. |
| Firm: |
Molded insole, or orthotic base for patients with diabetes or arthritis. Also used for distal pads. |
| X-Firm: |
Othotic base for patients with diabetes or arthritis. Very light-weight and easy to mold and grind. |
| Rigid: |
Light-weight orthotic splint, shell or reinforcement layer. Also used for shoe elevations for leg length discrepancies. |
