Trying to work around shortcoming
"Only way im going to try to wear these will be to take the strap and run it past and around the outside support strap. Strap is too long to meet where it should to be on the velcro without doing this. Must be for fat ankles. Ive had countless pairs of these and have never encountered this problem with any others. I should just return them but waa hopingvto work around it. Haven't worn yet because i think to tighten them up by taking it out furrher aroundthat strap it may make it so tight ill get blisters between thong area. Top is very cute. I also prefer the kind of suede feel footed over this smooth footed that I think may get slippery if you splashed any water on it, or feet get sweaty"

Wanted these to work
"The fit at the ankle isn just not right. I have relatively wide ankles, and yet the strap is so long and the velcro seemingly misplaced to that when I close the strap it is simply too long. I tried to attach additional velcro on the inside of the strap so that I could still wear the shoe, but then of course I have to pull the strap so far around that it looks terrible. I am typically a big fan of aetrex shoes, but was very disappointed that these were such a dud. It seems like this issue should have been caught in R&D?"

"As a size 9, with only an option of 9-9. 5, these are a bit big but the 8-8. 5 are too small. I would give a rave review if these fit correctly, but they are a tad too big. I have to tighten the heel strap past its normal range to make them work"
