These sneakers work very well
"These sneakers work very well with my arch support inserts. I have no pain while on my exercise walks. Tried another high priced sneaker, but my pain returned. The Aetrex have also lasted longer than any others I have tried over the years. Only disappointment is they no longer have orange as a color option."
Gap in length leads to arch pain (wrong size?)
"The quality of the build is a little lacking, glue inside the shoe near the seams that sticks to socks and the top material is not flush in places, like the material wasn't properly stretched before being sewn together. Nothing critical to the function of the shoe, and you cannot notice it unless you truly inspect it, but still something I look for as defects/errors have become expected from Chinese imports these days. Shoe is nearly a size too big in the length. If I put my toes up where they should be, the arch feels great, but if I put my foot to the heel where it wants to be, the arch causes pain as it is too far forward (I have a genetic zero arch). Probably would be remedied with a smaller size, but they don't make it easy to just exchange sizes to see if that fixes it. Fee to send it back and the replacement wouldn't be on sale. Just going to return them and go back to my local Brown's shoe store to see what they have. Don't get me wrong, Aetrex is great. I actually bought these shoes after using their machine and trying some insoles at the store. Was told I could get a better selection on the site (they did not have men's shoes in stock). Not sure why the sizing of these shoes was not matching up to what the machine said I needed though."
What a Godsend!
"I find it a challenge to buy comfortable shoes that fit my lifestyle. I walk vigorously for exercise six days a week. I also spend a bit of time on my feet throughout the week. I needed to replace a couple of pairs of shoes that are fairly well worn. I tried some new ones made by New Balance, Columbia, and Merrell. (Note: I use aetrex orthotics in all my footwear. ) None of them worked for me, even with orthotics. So, I decided to give these aetrex walking shoes a try. What a godsend! To say they are comfortable is an understatement. My feet haven't felt this good in years. I'm happy with them and plan to buy another pair. Keep up the good work aetrex!"
