"Nice but the knitting part on the top wears poorly"
"I can definitely see the shortcomings of this show that were mentioned in several other reviews. The zipper is somewhat difficult to operate, but it does work, and I have no issues with just undoing/tying the laces instead. The shoe was tight when I first put it on, so I zipped the front back up and loosened the laces all the way up the tongue, inserted my foot, and then tied—then it was just fine. My biggest complaint was that, like several others have noted, the arch is way too far back. I have custom orthotics that I can insert instead, but that kinda defeats the purpose of going with Aetrex in the first place. I included a pic of my orthotic with the Aetrex insert atop it so you can see that the Aetrex arch lands much further back. It’s a shame, because the quality of the insert is quite good, outside of the misaligned arch. The opening of the top of the shoe is also wide (see photo), as someone else had mentioned, so if you’re expecting snug to keep the snow out, that won’t happen. All shortcomings aside, with my orthotics inside, I was able to make this shoe work, and I’m gonna keep them, because they ARE cute! If you take a swing at these, know there might be issues you may not like. Or you might find, like me, that you can make them work! Just know that if you try them and then decide to return, I Aetrex charges a small restocking fee…something to keep in mind."
"Cute, very comfortable and keeps my feet warm. The con to these boots is that the sole has very little grip and traction. I have only worn them a half a dozen times and the bottoms are already starting to show wear. I wear them in cold weather but not when it is snowy because they are too slick on snow."
"Arch is lower than my present Atrex boots( I have six pairs of the same style) the sole is not as relaceable and the others have been resoledvonbthe heel area three or five times depending on the color). I like the zipper and the style It has less shock absorption than my other a Atrex. I can wear the old sweater style all day and hole for twelve miles. This style, my knees hurt after five hours. It’s slightly better when I removed the insole and replaced it with your high arch insoles."
"I really like these. They're perfect for Phoenix area 'winters'. They run a bit wide for my feet and the bottoms don't have much in terms of traction though."
"This was the perfect shoe. We went to Paris for 8 days. I needed a shoe to walk a lot and that would be nice enough for dinner out. I walked between 18000-34000 steps a day and my feet never hurt. They were tired on the most walked day, but not bad. I waterproofed the suede and that worked for the two rainy day. I never slipped on wet cobblestones or wet leaves. The fur lining kept my feet warm."
"These shoes were just too uncomfortable where the zipper meets my foot. I tried to get used to them. I even used bandages to cushion the contact area but they were just not going to work for me so I had to return them."
"The arch support and comfort are very good. This shoe has one problem. The back of the shoe, up the heal to the ankle is too stiff and has a seam in a place that gave me a blister."
"I give it a 5. I love the shoe and it gives me the support I need while also being stylish"
