HSA and FSA accounts hold pre-tax dollars. When you pay with them, you're using money the IRS never taxed, which means you effectively save your income tax rate on the purchase. Qualified customers save an average of 30%. You pay full price, the savings come from your tax advantage, not a discount.

Truemed is the payment platform that makes HSA/FSA checkout possible on aetrex.com. They connect you with an independent, licensed clinician who reviews your health information and, if you qualify, issues a Letter of Medical Necessity so you can pay with your HSA/FSA card.

Select Truemed as your payment method at checkout. You'll complete a health questionnaire. If you qualify, a clinician will issue a Letter of Medical Necessity and you can pay directly with your HSA/FSA card. The whole process takes a few minutes.

You can still complete your purchase with a regular credit or debit card, then submit for reimbursement. After checkout, Truemed will send you your Letter of Medical Necessity and an itemized receipt, which you submit to your HSA/FSA administrator to get your money back.

Truemed's Split Pay lets you divide your order between your HSA/FSA card and a regular credit card.

Contact your HSA/FSA administrator directly to ask for the specific reason. Common causes are insufficient balance, an expired card, or a merchant code issue. If you believe the denial was an error, you can resubmit with your LMN and itemized receipt.
