"I've been wearing the wrong shoe size for decades. Whenever I tried on a size 8 shoe, they slipped off my feet. My ankles bounced in and out of shoes. I tried inserts. Heel inserts. Toe inserts. Sole inserts. I gave up and bought size 7 1/2 shoes because they stayed on my feet. A shoe salesperson measured my foot told me I wear an 8 1/2. I tried on new shoes (size 8 1/2) and my ankle bounced in and out of the shoes as they always did. The salesperson showed me the Aetrex foot scanning machine. I tried it before, but I thought it was designed to encourage customers to spend more money. The salesperson explained I have flat feet and no arch. What is the best way to clean them & keep them from getting stinky?: Hi Donna, We recommend cleaning your Premium Memory Foam Posted Orthotics by spot-cleaning with mild soap, a damp cloth, and letting them air dry. Please avoid putting them in the washing machine or dryer, as this can damage the materials. For odor, you can sprinkle baking soda on the footbed overnight and shake it out in the morning.
If I wear a 9 1/2 shoe what size should I get if they run in full sizes only: Hi Laura, We recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes.
Do you take out the inner sole to make space or do you buy a larger shoe?: Hi Donna, We recommend removing the existing inner sole of your shoe before putting in the Aetrex orthotics.
