Q&A

I have a very high instep and metatarsal bone problems. What would you recommend?
Hello Cathy, We recommend orthotics from the Premium Memory Foam collection which feature 43% more memory foam at the forefoot to help with discomfort/pain in the forefoot area. Depending on your arch type, we recommend either the L2305 which is designed for medium to high arches, or the L2325 which supports low arches to flat feet. Both have metatarsal support. https://www.aetrex.com/orthotics/list-all/list-all-memory-foam/?prefn1=gender&prefv1=Women&prefn2=shoe-features&prefv2=Metatarsal+Support
If my feet measure 9 1/2" while standing ( big L foot) what size of orthotic would I order? I am confused by your size chart. TY
Hi Julia, We apologize for any confusion. To make it easy, we recommend getting orthotics in the same size as your regular footwear. If you're in between sizes, you can size up.
You recommended the L425 compete. I am still unsure because this pain I have is on the top of my foot, upper right of right foot (just below the toes in that section) it is not on the bottom so should I get the metatarsal support in it? I also want to use these for walking so would I need the walking orthotic?
Hi Liz, The metatarsal pad helps with weight redistribution which, in effect, helps offload pressure away from the forefoot area, also affecting the top part of the foot. We encourage you to try them as it is still the best way to determine support and in the event they aren’t to your satisfaction, you may return the orthotics within 30 days of the purchase date provided they were not marked final sale at the time the order was placed.
Hi, I've recently purchased the Jolie Boot in a size 38 (7.5 - 8). They feel great all the way around and I feel all arches are well supported . I typically wear a 7.5 a shoe and in my New Balance sneaker are size 8. I've been using insoles by Foot Levelers which are customized based on a heat scan of your feet. I have somewhat flat feet and began using the Foot Levelers to help with my tendency to stride off the outer four toes as opposed to evenly off my big toe and across. They provide heel, metatarsal support as well as the left and right arched in front of the heel. Can you help me with which insole and size to choose from your company? In addition, I just received the Blake sneaker in a 38. I don't feel they are as supportive as the Jolie boot. I was thinking of trying the Laura.
Hi Linda, We apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We recommend either the L425 Compete or L2225 Memory Orthotics. Both feature posted heels designed to help support low arches to flat feet, the signature Aetrex arh support that helps with body alignment and the relief of common foot pains, and metatarsal support to help alleviate forefoot pressure. The L425 is a versatile orthotic which has a Pro-shox polyurethane center to help absorb shock and reduce impact, while the L2225 uses IQ150 memory foam in its center layer making it more cushioned and has a Poron polyurethane base to absorb shock. https://www.aetrex.com/compete-orthotics-l425w-L425W.html?lang=en_US https://www.aetrex.com/memory-foam-orthotics-l2225-orthotics-14-L2225W.html?lang=en_US We also encourage you to try the Laura arch support sneaker. It has a padded heel and tongue and, unlike the Blake, it features a lightweight UltraSky™ EVA midsole that provides extra cushioning and comfort.
I have falling arches and also need the metatarsal feature. I'm using the inserts for my golf shoes as I walk a lot which also requires walking on uneven topography. At first I considered L425 or L825 then I noticed L2325 and L1925. Now I'm confused. Which do you recommend?
Hi Dolly, We recommend the L425 Compete Posted Orthotics for your golfing activities. In addition to the arch support and metatarsal support, it features polyester fibers in its top cover that wick moisture and helps prevent blisters, as well as a Pro-Shox® polyurethane center layer to absorb shock and reduce impact. https://www.aetrex.com/orthotics/custom-select/?prefn1=sports&prefv1=Golf
