- Hi Andy, While both orthotics feature the same AeroCell™ polyurethane base for high energy return, the L825 has an ultra-soft mesh polyester top cover and a FitGuard™ slow recovery memory foam center layer, while the L425 has a CopperGuard® top cover antimicrobial lining and Pro-Shox® polyurethane center to absorb shock and reduce impact. For gym-centered activities, we recommend the L825 as it's designed for provide comfort and help prevent injury for gym goers during workouts and training sessions.
- I had been using the New Balance branded inserts with a significant metatarsal bump, for years. Loved them, a set in every pair of shoes. Then they changed the design. Which of yours is going to have a pretty significant metatarsal bump (further back than some other makers)? I have high arches but don't NEED the arch support, just the metatarsal support.
