"I've been wearing the wrong shoe size for decades. Whenever I tried on a size 8 shoe, they slipped off my feet. My ankles bounced in and out of shoes. I tried inserts. Heel inserts. Toe inserts. Sole inserts. I gave up and bought size 7 1/2 shoes because they stayed on my feet. A shoe salesperson measured my foot told me I wear an 8 1/2. I tried on new shoes (size 8 1/2) and my ankle bounced in and out of the shoes as they always did. The salesperson showed me the Aetrex foot scanning machine. I tried it before, but I thought it was designed to encourage customers to spend more money. The salesperson explained I have flat feet and no arch. Please avoid putting them in the washing machine or dryer, as this can damage the materials. For odor, you can sprinkle baking soda on the footbed overnight and shake it out in the morning.
