Be sure your feet can handle high arch support
"I bought these in anticipation of a trip from recommendations. The arch was too high for my foot. I wore them one day to work and the next day I had considerable pain on the right side of my knee. It turns out it changed my pronation because of the arch and I suffered minor IT band irritation. This will not happen to everyone obviously but just be aware. They’re really nice shoes, but they just don’t work for me and now I’m having to stop hiking and power walking to try to calm my IT band down. Just be aware and make sure your foot can handle a high-ish arch. I wear inserts in my running shoes with arch support, but this was just too much for me. I wish they would’ve worked they’re very good looking shoes."
